Here are some of the things I have picked up on after using this drill for a while. It packs an improved ergonomic grip and is very compact for what it offers – very useful for using in tight or cramped areas I have found. This means that I can get places other workers would not have been able to get to. The soft, rubberised grip is also very comfortable and is very beneficial for me after an increased period of time working with this drill.
Another thing, I have not found any problems whatsoever with the charging or usage of the Lithium-Ion battery, everything seems to be very safe and it is always a dream to change and pop back in whenever needed. This helps me to make sure that I am always on time when completing a job and I can be as efficient as possible with my work. The fact that it’s cordless also helps improve my efficiency, as I’m not tripping over wires or worrying if they’ll be any plugs nearby etc.
The Makita 12V max CXT is also very light compared to the other drills I have used in the past. I can use it for prolonged periods of time if I need and can also reach places that I wouldn’t have been able to reach with my heavier, corded drills. Even if you are strong or will not be using the drill for long, it is an extremely beneficial thing to have on the drill and saves you from getting sore arms in the morning.
One thing that may be overlooked is the built in L.E.D light. Trust me, this may save you eventually. Often there are times in my work where I am working in low light areas and I find I need to get a flashlight out in order to drill the hole needed, but I can’t hold both at once… so another person has to come and help and often this isn’t convenient at all. This small, simple L.E.D light solves all that hassle and lets you get on with your work without a second thought. You’ll forget how much you use it, but trust me you’ll appreciate it. Finally,
I would just like to say that overall this drill kit has performed exceptionally well in my testing and I can assure you that this will stay in my everyday kit for many years to come. It’s beautiful design and the fact that it is packed full of features just screams quality to me.
